Lady Bug Says ... Today I Have Learnt!

Evening Ladies!

Today I have learnt many things! Varying from the fact that I need to stop being in denial that my awful roots could possibly be mistaken for ombre hair to realising I am now getting a cold!

The main thing I have learnt is that I need to get up earlier in the mornings! I need to stop leaving myself 30 minutes from waking up to having to leave the house, it results in rushed photos(these are the only photos I managed to take before rushing out of the door) and outfit choices as seen below!

Lady Bug Says ... Make Up Buys

Evening Lovelies!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry for the lack of posts, unfortunately life is very hectic at the moment! I am about a week behind on reading blog posts (so many to catch up on!) and loads that I want to write up. Hopefully things will calm down at work soon and I will have a bit more free time!

On Sunday I took part in the Pedal It Pink Half Marathon cycle ride. It was very difficult, but very rewarding! The event raised over £30k for Breast Cancer Campaign and I am very proud that I raised money and completed it! Thank you all for your thoughtful comments!

I thought today I would show you a few make up bits I have bought recently. Now I am by no means any kind of make up guru, but I do like to have a play around with it! So here is what I have been buying!

ELF Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude, £3.50

I really like this pinky nude colour, applied lightly it is perfect for a simple day look and layered up is a great, more intense pink.

Makeup Academy Eye shadows in Shade 3 & Shade 12, £1 each

These are them first items I have purchased from Makeup Academy and I must say I am impressed!

Love how shimmery these shadows are, am looking forward to trying out a smoky eye look with these - well once I have watched a few tutorials, I am rubbish at eye makeup!

ELF Shimmer Eye Liner in Boldly Bronzed, £1.50

This goes on so smoothly, no horrible dragging on your eye lids!

Sorry for the rubbish swatch, it is so sparkly. I am a sucker for anything vaguely shiny!

ELF Matte Finisher Top Coat, £1.50

Am really loving matte nails and am happy to report it doesn't leave your nails feeling like a chalk board!

Lady Bug Says ... Autumn Has Arrived!

Well autumn has well and truly hit, bring rain and cold with it! Though I am secretly kind of glad, I can now wear chunky knits and tights without having to really worry that I'm going to be to warm!

But as I am taking part in a charity bike ride at the weekend I would quite like the summer to make a final appearance! I am not so keen on cycling 13 miles in the rain! So please think summery thoughts for Sunday!

Lady Bug Says ... Mixing Prints

Evening lovelies!

Another outfit post today. Two days in a row, hopefully I can keep it up!

Today I wanted to mix up some prints and wear my new favourite possession, my vintage silk scarf. Scarves are pretty much the first thing I look out for in charity shops, modern day versions just don't seem to have the same appeal!

Lady Bug Says ... I'm Back :)

Guess what?! I'm back :)

The builders have still not finished(well I really shouldn't of expected them to be finished on time should I?!) but I have found a new OOTD photo location, the spare room! Shame it is soon to be rented out to a lodger! Plus just have to hope the Mr doesn't find out about me wearing shoes on the carpets!

Anyway, I have an outfit to show you all! After a week of being convinced that Autumn was well and truly here the sun has decided to shine today so I thought I should dig my favourite shorts out! I actually haven't worn them for a few weeks, that must be some kind of record!

I have been wanting to try out matte nails for a while now, but was worried they would feel abit like a blackboard and would make me cringe(yes I'm a little odd!) I didn't really want to pay out £5+ for something I could potentially hate so when I saw ELF had released their version for £1.50 I thought I should give it ago. I am pleased to report that there is no blackboard texture!! It doesn't go on brilliantly, but that may just be my very unsteady hand!

Lady Bug Says ... Next Pop Up Shop

Afternoon Lovelies!

Hope you are all well, the Mr has given me his horrible cold, I am not so impressed!

I was contacted a few days ago by Next, asking if I would be interested in opening one of their blogger pop up shops, I of course was! Next have seriously impressed me with their collections in the last year or so! Their Autumn/Winter collection has got me wanting to spend like their is no tomorrow!

I picked out four of my favourite outfits from their Parisian shoot and these items are now for sale in my pop up shop!

I need the fur trimmed sweater and biker boots in my life!!

Evening lovelies!

Sorry I have been abit MIA the past few days, have been crazy busy at home! Our old lodger moved out on Friday and a new one in today, so had lots of cleaning and things to get the room all sorted out in time!

I received an email from Selfridges recently, letting me know about The Shoe Galleries which they will be opening soon! The Shoe Galleries will be showcasing 150 designers with 55,000 pairs of shoes in stock at any one time and 4,000 pairs on display. Now, you all know I have abit of a love of shoes, so the thought of that many shoes sounds a little bit like heaven to me!

A big part of The Shoe Galleries is the idea that everyone has a shoe story, be it longing for a pair of ballet shoes as a child to contemplating spending the money meant for the electric bill on a pair of stunning heels!

Selfridges are asking for people to send in their shoe stories and you could be in with a chance of winning a gorgeous new pair of shoes (one winner every week!). Plus one lucky winner will scoop a year's supply of shoes from Selfridges!

Lady Bug Says ... Second Hand Treats

Evening lovelies!

Thought I would show you some outfits from the last few days, featuring some bargains from my second hand shopping spree at the weekend.

One of my favourite charity shops is in a little village near me, everything is so cheap (I love their £1 rail!).

As it was carnival day in the village there was also lots of random jumble sale style tables set up all along the street :)
