Lady Bug Says ... Minty Legs & Chainmail!

Evening lovelies!

According to the guys at work my jumper looks like chain mail and my trousers remind them of toothpaste, got to love men's take on fashion!

This outfit is actually made up of some of my favourite items, old and new. I picked up this metallic knit jumper from the Primark £5 sale rail a few years ago and it has definitely been worn to death since. Whether it looks like chain mail or not though I am personally undecided! Of course I am wearing my much loved H&M flatform shoes, these have become my go to work shoes, that bit of height but oh so comfortable! Finally my new minty turquoise cropped skinny trousers from New Look, I set out looking for pastel skinny jeans but after trying on numerous pairs these made it home with me :)

Black flatforms, H&M £20, Mint skinny trousers, New Look £20, Metallic knit jumper, Primark £5

Nail Polish - Barry M Ltd Edition 030
Ring, Primark £2

Outfit total - £47

Lady Bug Says ... Deal Collector

I am a big fan deal/bulk buy/discount websites, who doesn't love to get a bit of a bargain!

I was recently contacted by www.dealcollector.co.uk to let me know about their new website which allows you to search all the offers available in your area from websites such as Groupon, Keynoir and Wowcher all in one place. I am loving the idea of not having to search through multiple websites to find deals in everywhere from Cambridge to Belfast! I also like the idea of being able to search in a city where you are going away on holiday to, to book maybe a spa treat or a nice meal whilst you are away.

I have bought a whole range of deals, everything from lunch at a fancy (usually couldn't afford to eat there!' restaurant to hair salon deals and think they are a really good way to treat yourself to something you maybe wouldn't normally buy. My sister even recently bought a No!No! for 60% off the retail price, so there really are some good deals to be had.

The only downside I have found with the website is that it currently doesn't include the city I live in, but maybe that will change in time. In the meantime I am quite content browsing through the national and fairly local deals to me :)

Lady Bug Says ... My Summer 2012 Nail Polish Picks

You all probably know by now that I am a little bit obsessed with nail polish. I don't think you can really go wrong with nail polish, unlike other beauty products!

I thought I would show you my favourite and most used nail polishes for Summer 2012.

Clockwise from top - Barry M - NP140, LOOK Beauty - Shade 24 Sequin Effect, Barry M - Peach Melba, Barry M - Ltd Edition 030, ELF - Coral & Models Own - Jade Green

Barry M - Peach Melba - The prettiest pastel peach colour that only requires 2 coats and dries fairly quickly.
LOOK Beauty - Shade 24 Sequin Effect - So damn hard to photograph but so pretty. A clear polish with holographic flakes in it.
Barry M - NP 140 - No name but a gorgeous bright coral pink that dries with a semi matte finish.
Models Own - Jade Green - A dirty mint green that goes on like a dream, as do nearly all the Models Own polishes I have tried!

The aforementioned Sequin Effect layered over Barry M - NP140, my favourite combination at the moment!
Barry M - Ltd Edition 030 - A bright lavender purple, just beautiful!
ELF - Coral - My all time favourite polish, I am now on bottle number 2. A dreamy pink and gold duo-chrome and my go to pedicure colour.

This post should of contained one more polish, Models Own - Slate Grey, but it took a dive off my dressing table and on to the tiled floor in my bathroom. It will soon be repurchased as it is the most perfect nude!

What are your favourite polishes at the moment?

Lady Bug Says ... Little New Dress

Evening all!

I am hoping to get back into blogging a little more regularly, I have so much to tell you and show you all! My camera is currently in the camera hospital hopefully being fixed, but my lovely Mother In Law has lent me hers until mine returns.

An outfit post for you all today. I was recently contacted by Oasap and kindly offered some credit to spend on their site. It took a little while but I eventually picked this colour block dress.

I was really impressed with the quick delivery, it arrived within a week of being ordered, which is pretty good going seeing as it appears to be shipped from America. The dress itself is a gorgeous dusky pink colour with a cream overlay panel to the front. The only downside to this dress is that it only came in 'one size' which seems to come up quite small, I wear a size 10 on my bottom half but my child bearing hips are a little snug in this dress!

Grey flatform heels, H&M £20, Dress c/o Oasap, Leather jacket, Primark via Ebay £20, Gold cuff necklace, New Look £3 & Cocktail Ring, Primark £2

Outfit total - £45

I have been on the hunt for this Primark leather style jacket for about a year, and finally found one at a not ridiculous price on Ebay!

Hope you are all having a good week and looking forward to the weekend!

Lady Bug Says ... George at ASDA Queen's Jubilee Vintage Tea Blogparty

Apologies for being a bit late on this one, I have had a bit of a falling out with my camera and it is soon to be sent off to the camera hospital to be fixed!

A little while ago I was contacted by the lovely people over at George at ASDA asking if I would like to select a dress that represented an era of the Queen's reign and take part in a Jubilee Tea Blogparty.

I picked this gorgeous scarf print maxi dress and George at ASDA kindly supplied me with a tea party kit including some delicious fudge, bunting, a commemorative tea set and a pretty scalloped table cloth.

So last weekend I set up a little Jubilee party in the back garden :)

Maxi dress, c/o George at ASDA, Wedge heels, Matalan £18, Floral headband, New Look £2

I decided to bake some Jubilee themed cakes which went down pretty well and it seemed like a good opportunity to give my union jack cushions an airing! Though we did have to take the tea party inside shortly after due to the ever so British rain!

Thank you very much to George at ASDA for asking me to take part :)
