Evening Ladies!
I thought tonight I would share with you a great charity shop find! Whilst skimming through the rails of overpriced Primark and questionable out of shape tshirts, I caught a glimpse of pretty coral colour and vintage-esque floral print. Grabbing it before anyone else could get their mitts on it I was even more delighted to find that it was a) handmade and b) only £3!
I still can't believe someone would give away an item that someone had obviously taken a lot of time and care to make!
It was a little bit long for my midget legs so it was a good opportunity to get my little sewing machine out and attempt to shorten it. For my first time I don't think I did too bad! Plus I managed to pick up the right colour thread in the charity shop for 10p :) I do love a bargain!
Much better after don't you think? I now have a small pile of skirts to get the shortening treatment, now just to find the time to do it!
It looked lovely on before but it looks loads better now! great find :) X
ReplyDeletethat is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely gorgeous. Between you and Alex from odd Socks & Pretty Frocks, you've shamed me into learning how to use a sewing machine. I live in hope of ever finding anything that pretty though..
