Lady Bug Says ... Spring With A Chill

Spring is definitely in the air, the mornings are lighter, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. But there is still a definite chill in the air!
I always find this time of year very challenging wardrobe wise. Having to still be practical and wear a cardigan(or even a coat) yet not wanting to get to hot under the collar when the sun is beating down on you!
I am not quite brave enough to go bare sleeved or legged just yet! So a warm knitted dress and lighter sleeves were in order today.

Blue long sleeved top, Primark £4, Grey knitted dress, Primark £10, Turquoise tights, Tesco £2, Black tights, Primark £1, Black riding boots, New Look £30, Scarf, Tesco £3

Outfit total - £50

I really like the effect of wearing black tights over coloured, getting a muted glimpse of colour that changes in different lights and when you move.

How are you all finding the transition between Winter and Spring?

  1. I definitely don't think it's quite the weather for bare arms and legs just yet - those bright sunny days can be mighty decieving as there is a sting in their tail at the moment still.

  2. I'm struggling at the moment. I've bought so many lovely new dresses recently that I can't help but wear them, even though it's really not warm enough yet. I seem to constantly covering up with my work fleece which is not a stylish look!

  3. Lovely outfit hun,
Im also finding it slightly hard. I hate wearing sunnies & a coat, but it has got slightly warmer as well as the sun now too.
I see this girls with nothing on there legs & just want to scream. I don't deal with the cold very well anway.
I think a big cardie or a long sleeve t-shirt under ur outfit is needed at the moment

  4. I'm finding it frustrating. So many pretty clothes and it's not warm enoughto wear them yet. What would we do without long sleeved T-shirts!

  6. Oh, I was just complaining about this very problem to Alex. I'm so over cardigans and coats and other such boring wintery things - today I went out in my thin blazer with a cotton scarf. I was totally freezing but I REFUSE to wear boots and hats and coats!

  7. The tights look so pretty!
I'm awkward, the temperature at the moment suits the way I like to dress perfectly, I hate hot and I hate cold and like to keep everything covered.
