Lady Bug Says ... Pretty Print

I have had this shirt for a month or so, and have worn it a lot, but for some reason have never got around to photographing it! I managed to pick it up in the Dorothy Perkins sale and love the shirt collar, the dipped hem and of course the pretty print :)

I have been pairing it a lot with simple leggings and heels, any other ideas how to style it?!

Sheer dipped hem shirt, Dorothy Perkins £12
Black leggings, H&M £7
Taupe suede flatforms, H&M £20

Lady Bug Says ... Pizza Me Up!

Evening lovelies!

I was recently contacted asking if I would like to try the new Mexicano pizzas from Domino's Pizza. Now let me tell you I love food, be it cooking it, eating it or buying it, so I happily took them up on their offer!

I invited a few friends over and we ordered the Chicken Mexicano pizza, plus a few extras including mozzarella sticks and gourmet garlic bread, yum!

Now I am not a big spicy food lover but this was delicious, whoever thought of putting sour cream on pizza deserves be up there with the person who thought of putting a hash brown in a burger! The pizza had plenty of toppings, loads of cheese and the all important garlic herb dip for the crusts :)

I will definitely be making sure I get to eat this again before it disappears from their menu (it's a limited edition guest pizza so I don't think it will be around for long)

Disclaimer - I was provided the pizza and extra items to review. I was not paid for my review other than receiving items free of charge. All views are my own, I really do love pizza!

Lady Bug Says ... Olympic Ready!

Evening all!

Are you all ready for the Olympics? I am not a big fan in general but hope that everyone who wants to enjoy it does!

I was gifted this scarf by Next a little while a go when I went to their store opening and have worn it a fair bit since, but unfortunately my broken camera stopped me documenting it! Now my camera is fixed I can finally show it to you!

This outfit is pretty similar to what I wore to watch the Olympic torch pass through my city, just with flat shoes!

Cream dress, H&M via Ebay £7
Red Blazer, Forever 21 £19

Lady Bug Says ... The Brightest Dress In The World?

Evening lovelies!

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as much as I am :) The only problem I am having is dressing for the hot weather outside, but then also being covered up enough the brave my freezing cold air conditioned office.

This dress is super cool, but super bright! I purchased it off Ebay believing it was a bright pink, which it kind of looks in these photos. In real life it is neon pink/orange, but I kind of love it, plus it only cost £2.50 :)

Daisy wanted you get in on the outfit photo action, she has grown so much in a week!

Studded sandals, Next £6
Neon dress, H&M via Ebay £2.50
Plaited belt, Primark £1
Gold necklace, New Look £3

Outfit total £12.50

Lady Bug Says ... What I Did On Holiday

I though seeing as I have shown you what I wore on holiday, I would show you a little of what we got up to. The weather on the whole was pretty cloudy and rainy, but we did manage to make the most of our time there!

We went to stay with my Dad at his house in the Charante region of France. We used to go on holiday there every year but my Sister hadn't been in 7 years and I last visited with the Mr 3 years ago. So it was nice for us to revisit and go on holiday together!

On our first night we ate at 'The Shed' a little restaurant in the middle of the forest, you eat on a covered veranda over looking the lakes. The also happen to do the best Salade de Gesiers I have ever tried!

On the one day we got some proper sunshine we headed to La Jemaye for canoeing and soaking up some rays!

We also tried jet skiing at an disused quarry near Brossac. I say tried, I screamed for 5 laps before calling it a day and letting my Sister have some real fun!

We also visited Aubeterre so take pictures at my favourite spot.

And consumed a few chocolate crepes and an Orangina or two.

We had to have a play around with the panoramic settings on my camera of course! Jazz hands!

We saw loads of sunflowers :) Usually we are there later on in the summer so they are getting towards the end of their season, but in early July they were out in full bloom!

We also dressed up and took lots of photos in our pretty street!

All in all it was a pretty good get away!

Lady Bug Says ... Holiday Outfit #5

This is the last of my holiday outfits, worn on my final day and for travelling home.

I hate wearing uncomfortable clothes whilst travelling so I went for the basics, layered so I didn't freeze under the planes air conditioning!

Me and my Sister went to play 'Pooh Sticks' at the river near our house before we left. Yes we are still kids at heart, it is something we have done every year that we have been there and we weren't about to break tradition!

Lady Bug Says ... Holiday Outfit #4

Evening :)

This has to be my favourite outfit from my little break away, mainly because I finally got to wear my bargain charity shop dress but also because I almost look like I have a tan. Sadly it is all courtesy of Ambre Solaire and not from actually catching many rays!

I picked this dress up for a bargain price of £3 in one of my favourite charity shops. The label reads 'Etincelle - Made in Paris' so it was a perfect dress for a meal on our last night. I was drawn to the flattering shape and the quirky cut out detail, it kind of reminds me a little of the Topshop cut out dress that was doing the rounds a dew months ago.

I picked up these flatform sandals from the teen section in New Look after seeing them on Katie's blog - Caught Up In Cake and realising they were the perfect 'everyday' heels I had been on the hunt for. Let's hope the weather here gets a bit better so I get some more wear out of them!

Flatform sandals, New Look £12
White cut out dress, Etincelle via Charity shop £3
Gold cuff necklace, New Look £3
Turquoise ring, Primark £2

Lady Bug Says ... Holiday Outfit #3

Evening :)

I am currently blogging with a worn out puppy sleeping on my feet, they work really well as furry feet warmers!

Another holiday outfit, this one is from a cloudy but fairly warm day when we went to ride jet skis in an old quarry, terrifying but kind of fun! I got off half way through so my poor sister could have a go without me screaming in her ear to slow down!

I also kind of wish I could take outfit photos with this backdrop all the time, so much prettier than my garden!

Studded sandals, Next £6
Grey denimn shorts, River Island £5
Cut out shoulder top, New Look £6
Sunglasses, Primark £1

Lady Bug Says ... Daisy Dog!

Everyone, meet Daisy!

This little fluff ball has been home for less than 24 hours but she already has us well and truly wrapped around her little waggy tail!

She has a bit of a thing for feet.

Enjoys a good nap.

And chewing on her toys.

If you overlook the using the kitchen floor as a toilet and nibbling on anything and everything she is pretty much perfect!

I will apologise now for my Instagram turning into Puppygram!

Lady Bug Says ... Holiday Outfit #2

Evening :)

Another holiday outfit post, I am scheduling a few of these as I don't think I will have much time over the next week or so, as we will be bringing a new addition home tomorrow! A gorgeous little yellow Labrador will soon be running around (and possibly destroying!) my house!

On to the outfit, this time from a slightly warmer day. We had a few hours of sunshine in the afternoon so decided to visit a gorgeous local town for a spot of shopping and a few drinks in the town square.

Lady Bug Says ... Jubilee Blog Swap

I recently took part in a Jubilee Blog Swap organised by Lakota over at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping.

I was paired with the lovely Jenni from Bows, Bangles and Bakes and I received a fab parcel from her at the beginning of the month.

She kindly included a gorgeous silk vintage scarf, some pretty handmade hair clips from House of the Fickle Queen, a floral make up bag, some MUA nail varnishes and a lipgloss and some Jubilee Haribo sweets (which my other half very quickly demolished!)

Thank you very much Jenni for the very thoughtful package and gift :)
