Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge Days 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22!

Evening all, a bit of a long post for you all tonight as I am so far behind with the May challenge!

What with friends getting married and moving abroad, work being crazy busy and my camera being very temperamental (and then dying!) I got a little sidetracked. But tonight I am going to catch up!

Day 15 - Nail art/your favourite polish and your nail varnish collection

If you have read my blog for a while, you will know I am a bit of a nail art fan! I was even lucky enough to be featured on the company magazine website in a little nail art feature thanks to the lovely Gem Fatale!

And here is my modest nail polish collection!

Day 16 - A customised item

Now I wanted to show you all the cut out shoulder shirt I recently customised, but my aforementioned broken camera had other ideas!

So I thought I would so you a simple customisation, shortening a charity shop find skirt :)

Day 17 - Something you wear when it's sunny

When the sun starts shining the pretty floral print shorts come out to play!

Day 18 - Your brightest lipstick

I am more of a 'your lips but better' kind of girl, but these are my 2 brightest.

ELF - Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude & LOOK - Double Lip Hit in Citrus

Day 19 - An article of clothing/jewellery that instantly makes you feel great

Despite having a fairly out of proportion waist and hips (my mum calls them child bearing!) and generally not liking body con/overly clingy dresses there is something about this H&M knitted midi dress that makes me love it!

Day 20 - Shoes you love but hardly wear

I love these Matalan shoes, but they are strictly reserved for sitting down occasions as I turn into bambi on ice when I wear them!

Day 21 - Something that is your favourite brand

I don't think I have a favourite brand, but I do love a bit of H&M, which is where this leather skirt and yellow dress came from, as does a large proportion of my wardrobe!

Day 22 - A piece of clothing or jewellery that was a gift

My Mum and Sister bought me this Swarovski ring for my 21st birthday and it is most definatley the most precious piece of jewellery I own!

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge Day 12, 13 & 14

Evening lovelies!

Day 12 - The outfit you have had the best times in

I don't know about best times plural, but I remember having a really great night with my friends whilst wearing this outfit :)

Beige wedges, Matalan £18, Burgundy skinny trousers, Next £12, Floral top, Tesco £4

Day 13 - Your lazy day at home with style (in front of your house mates/bf/visitor) outfit

My lazy day outfits are all about comfort, but not so comfortable that a surprise guest would have me hiding! I mainly go for unstructured clothing, definitely no tailoring for me on my 'off' days.

Fine knit t shirt, Next £12, Burgundy skinny trousers, Next £12

Loose striped dress, H&M £5, Mustard cardigan, Primark £5

Day 14 - The item that was hardest to hunt down/buy

I looked through my wardrobe and there wasn't anything really in there that I had to track down. So I thought I would share what I am currently looking for and have been looking for for quite I while.

I first saw these shoes on Ilanka's blog Fashionnerdic probably a year or so a go, and I have been searching on Ebay for them, with no luck, ever since!

She recently sold them in her blog shop but unfortunately they weren't my size!

If anyone finds these in a size 4 or 5 please let me know! The search needs to be over!

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge Day 10 & 11

Evening!

Hope you all had a great weekend in the sunshine! I have my fingers crossed that it sticks around a bit longer. My weekend has been filled with lots of food, if you follow me on instagram you may of seen the crazy about of curry we ordered on Saturday night and my Sunday fry up. I have also been making curtains for our camper van and buying necessary make up, why does everything have to run out at once?!

Anyways, on to the challenge, which I am inevitably behind on!

Day 10 - Cute tights

Most of my tights are of the standard black ad nude sheer variety, so I thought I would show you the few slight different and cute pairs I own.

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 8 & 9

Evening :)

Day 8 - Something you forgot you have but love

Next - Around £7 I think!

I love this little sheer jacket so much. But I often forget that I own it as I don't really know what to wear it with! Any hints?!

Day 9 - The item at the top of your wishlist

I am cheating a little here and picking 2 items, both from Zara. I am loving 90% of what they have in store at the moment! The dress would be perfect for the summer and the jacket for the not so spring like weather at the moment, to be brought out again in the Autumn!

Printed tunic dress - £39.99

Safari jacket with leather sleeves - £79.99

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 6 & 7

 Evening!

A double challenge post today as I was busy in Bristol shopping with my Mum and Sister yesterday :) Hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Day 6 - Something out of your comfort zone but you love it

Sheer leopard maxi, H&M £10

I love this leopard print maxi! But I have shamefully only worn it once to the Mr's work Christmas party a few years ago. I can't seem to make it work for day wear, any ideas would be appreciated! It is out of my comfort zone as despite putting myself out there through my blog I am a pretty shy person and worry that people will wonder what on earth I am wearing if I stepped out in this :S

Day 7 - A special occasion outfit

I couldn't pick one so I have decided to show what I have worn to weddings over the past few years as I love everyone of these dresses!

Dress, Pussycat London via New Look £25

Halter maxi dress, TK Maxx £5, Bag, Primark £3, Flower, Primark £1, Necklace, Matalan £3

Dress, H&M via Ebay £13, Clutch Bag, Primark £5

Dress, made by me, fabric £8 :), Nude Wedge Heels, River Island £25, Nude Clutch, Matalan £6, Coral Ring, Matalan £5, Gold Feather Earrings, Matalan £2

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 5

Day 5 - Your best bargain.

This was a tough one, as my wardrobe is largely filled with bargains! I am one of those people who would much rather be able to say 'that was only £2' than 'oh yeah I spent £50 on that'. I think it was a concept inherited from my Mum, to always be on the look out for a bargain and make your money go that bit further!

After having a look through my wardrobe I decided that this dress is probably my best bargain, as long as we are not basing it on cost per wear, as it has shamefully only had one outing. But seeing as I am making a concious effort to dress a bit smarter at work I am sure it will be making more appearances!

I bought this dress a few while ago in a charity shop, as soon as I walked through the door and saw it I made a beeline for it before someone else could grab it. The colours, print and style grabbed my attention immediately. What makes it a bargain? Well a few things, the perfect condition, the French Connection label and the store tags still in tact to name a few! Combine this with the charity shop price tag of £8 I consider this to be a pretty good buy!

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 4

Evening everyone :)

Hope you are all looking forward to a great Bank Holiday weekend. I took an extra few days off work so have already had a few days of relaxation with the highlight today being cuddling a baby rabbit and feeding a lamb at a farm type place!

So, onto the challenge!

Day 4 - Your favourite print

I couldn't pick just one item, but at the moment I have a slight obsession with aztec prints!

Neon & mint aztec cardigan, New Look £10, Black & white aztec shift dress, George at Asda via Ebay £1, Tribal aztec skirt, H&M via Ebay £6, Pastel aztec dress, Ebay £6, Navy & white aztec top, Ebay £4

And yes, I also have a little Ebay obsession at the moment, Paypal money isn't real money!

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 3

Evening everyone.

Blogging for the 3rd day in a row, this 31 day challenge has certainly given me the motivation I needed to get back into regularly blogging!

Day 3 - Something you are wearing for the first time.

Well this outfit has 3 items getting their first outing! The slightly infamous Zara messenger bag (yes I jumped right on board that bandwagon!), My new to me aztec print top, which was advertised on Ebay as a dress and my grey H&M flatforms.

Burgundy Trousers, Next £12, Aztec print top, Ebay £4, Blazer, H&M Kids £8, Messenger Bag, Zara £20

Grey suede flatforms, H&M £20

Necklace, New Look £3

Outfit total - £67

Lady Bug Says ... Montagne Jeunesse Skin Heroes Break-Out Mask

Afternoon lovelies

I was recently sent some of the new Skin Heroes face masks from Montagne Jeunesse. My skin is certainly in need of rescuing so these couldn't have popped through my door at a better time!

I decided to give the break-out mask a go first, It is one of my favourite kinds of masks, full coverage that really feels like it is doing some good! As soon as I opened the sachet the tea tree scent was strong but pleasant and the mask was cooling and relaxing on the skin.

Token face mask shot, is is possible to look good in a face mask?!

I left the mask on for 20 mins then rinsed off with warm water. The new range of masks come with a moisturiser for using afterwards, I found this a little greasy to begin with, but after a few minutes it sunk into my skin nicely. I don't know if this has helped with my break-outs but it left my skin feeling soft and clean, which is always good in my books!

Montagne Jeunesse Skin Heroes masks are available to buy in Asda and all of their products are suitable for vegetarians and we always look to use natural ingredients. You can view their great range of skin care products on their website.

Lady Bug Says ... 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 1

Hello :)

Having heard on the Twitter grapevine about the 31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge that Selina over at Flying Saucer has organised, I thought there was no better way to get me back on top of my blogging game!

As always with me I am a little late to join the party, but better late than never!

So Day 1 - Your Wardrobe

This is probably the favourite area of my house (and it's main selling point!). I share it, granted not very equally with the Mr!

I had a major wardrobe clear out a little while ago so it is fairly organised at the moment!

Only thing I wish I had was long hanging space, I currently hang maxi dresses on the back of my bedroom door!

Looking forward to having a peek into other peoples wardrobes!
